OUR PRAYER FOR YOU:
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints," (Ephesians 1:17-18, KJV)
"I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers," (Ephesians 1:17-19, MSG)
Our Spiritual Journey Consists of Four Steps:
1. Know God.
"[I pray]...that you may know Him better [personally]." (Ephesians 1:17-18, NIV)
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:21-23, KJV)
2. Find Freedom.
"[I pray]...that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened [focused and clear]" (Ephesians 1:17-18, NIV)
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16, KJV)
3. Discover Purpose.
"[I pray]...that you may know the hope to which He has called you." (Ephesians 1:17-18, NIV)
"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;" (Romans 12:6, KJV)
"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." (1 Cor. 12:27, KJV)
4. Make a Difference.
"[I pray]...that you may grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for His followers [in his holy people]." (Ephesians 1:17-18, NIV)
"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples...These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." (John 15:8,11, KJV)
